Meet Our Team
We are three generations of builders who stand behind their work. Our founder, Matt Dacey, grew up in the building business and has built a solid reputation in the new home industry on the South Shore and Cape Cod. Our main office is located in Kingston, MA, and we have built more than 3,000 homes in 40+ towns and cities across the southeastern portion of the state.
Matt Dacey
President & Founder
Champion Builders, Inc. President and Founder, Matt Dacey is a builder and real estate developer who founded the company in 1992, after having a successful career with one of Massachusetts most prolific home building companies of the 1970’s and 1980’s, Dacey Homes of Hyannis. He brings over 1700 homes of experience, keen insight, and an unrivaled passion to all aspects of the project, from preconstruction, permitting, design, budgeting, development, sales and marketing, and construction.
As President, Matt ensures that the team and the project have all the necessary resources to provide integrity, value and trust to both our trade partners and all of our clients. We make promises, and we keep those promises is a slogan we have always lived by.

Matt Dacey

Paula Dacey
Interior Designer
Paula has been a key member of the Champion Team since 1992. She is our in-house interior design consultant and is responsible for design selections for our model and spec homes/condominiums. Paula has extensive experience with CAD and has designed a portfolio of beautiful homes throughout the years.

Tom Dacey
Project Manager
Tom also grew up in the construction industry and joined Champion Builders in October 2018. He has experience in project management, construction estimating, and preconstruction services. Tom has worked on commercial and residential projects throughout the United States, including Massachusetts, Ohio, New Jersey, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Tom helps Champion Builders maintain a strong focus on job site organization, construction processes, and safety for our subcontractors, clients, and coworkers. He also estimates costs and work directly with contractors and clients on the design & construction of each home we build. Tom and his wife Sarah live in Duxbury with their two dogs, Honey and Penny.

Sarah Dacey
Operations Manager
Sarah joined Champion Builders in May 2022. She began her career as a financial markets attorney, which she pursued for nearly 7 years before the lure of building and real estate prevailed. Sarah is a licensed attorney and Real Estate Broker. At Champion, Sarah is responsible for managing in-house operations, project coordination and processes, and sales. She is passionate about helping our customers obtain the best quality and value for their new Champion homes. Sarah and her husband, Tom, live in Duxbury with their two dogs, Honey and Penny.

Having also grown up in a construction family, Will joined Champion Builders, Inc. with over 15 years of experience in the field of new construction. Will is a licensed and certified construction supervisor with extensive training in energy efficiency and hands-on skills that are valuable for new home construction. On a daily basis, Will handles field work and on-site supervision on several job sites, and coordinates subcontractors and work partners as well. He resides in Canton with his wife, twin children and two Siberian Huskies.

Joe Hurley
Assistant Site Supervisor
Joe has been with Champion Builders since 2020. Joe is a licensed and certified construction supervisor with over 4 years of hands-on experience. He handles field work on a daily basis across several job sites, and works directly with our subcontractors to ensure seamless work. Joe resides in Plymouth.

Pat Rose
Office Manager
Pat has been working in the construction industry since 1986, when she started at Dacey Homes with Matt’s father. She made the transition to Champion Builders to join Matt in 1994 and has been keeping the company organized since then. Pat is a public notary and has extensive accounting/bookkeeping, secretarial and billing experience. She is an integral part of the company and keeps the Champion boys in line on a daily basis. We thank Pat for years of hard work and putting up with us! Pat resides in Mashpee with her beloved cats.
